Good Faith Estimate
Under the law, health care providers must give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health care will cost.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services. This includes related costs like psychotherapy, psychological testing, or group therapy.
You can request a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service or at any time during the course of care.
If you receive a bill that is $400 or more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may be able to dispute the charge.
Requesting a Good Faith Estimate at Insights Counseling Center
If you are uninsured or not using insurance benefits, you may request a Good Faith Estimate for any services offered by Insights Counseling Center. This estimate can help you anticipate the potential cost of therapy, based on the type of service, frequency, and length of treatment discussed with your provider.
All fees for services are clearly listed in our intake paperwork and consent forms, which you will receive prior to beginning therapy. These documents outline session rates, potential additional costs, and your financial responsibilities.
Please note: Therapy is highly individualized. The actual number of sessions and overall treatment length may vary based on your unique needs, goals, and preferences.
