Change That Doesn't Stay In The Therapy Room

Navigating relationships can be hard, especially when we find ourselves caught in patterns that feel difficult to change. Therapy can offer an intentional space to slow down, better understand one another, and work toward healthier, more connected relationships.

My hope is that it becomes a place where you can make sense of what you're experiencing, without judgment and without rushing.

How I Work With Clients

I believe meaningful change doesn't only happen inside the therapy room. It happens when the work we do together begins to shape how you experience yourself, your relationships, and the world around you.

Sessions are a place to slow down, gain awareness, challenge patterns, and better understand what may be keeping you stuck. From there, the goal is to carry those insights into everyday life, where change can become both meaningful and sustainable. My hope is that therapy leaves you with the awareness, confidence, and tools to keep creating change long after our work together ends.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to what each person in the room needs. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and the Gottman Method to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and relationship patterns. What I want you to feel when you sit down with me is welcomed, unhurried, and met without judgment.

Who I Work With

I especially enjoy working with couples and with individuals navigating relationships. Whether you're struggling with communication, recurring conflict, emotional disconnection, or simply want to strengthen what's already good, therapy can be a space to better understand one another and build healthier patterns together.

I'm also a Prepare/Enrich facilitator, which tends to be a good fit for couples preparing for marriage or wanting a structured look at where they're strong and where they'd like to grow.

Alongside my work with couples, I have extensive experience with adolescents in a school-based setting — teenagers working through anxiety, friendships, family conflict, and the pressure of figuring out who they are.

For clients carrying trauma, I also draw on EMDR, an approach that helps the body and brain process experiences that talk therapy alone doesn't always reach.

A Few Things I Love

When I'm not in session, I'm usually outdoors, going for a walk, calling a friend or family member, or trying out a new recipe. Lately that has meant finding new ways to work sourdough into just about anything. I'm also involved in my local church, and I love the community, connection, and time spent there.

Ready When You Are

I see clients in person at our 280 Cahaba Park office in Birmingham and online via telehealth across Alabama.

If you're feeling stuck in a relationship pattern, struggling to communicate with your partner, or simply wanting to build something stronger, I would be honored to walk alongside you in that process. You don't have to have it sorted out before you reach out — that's part of what we'll work on together.

If You're Caught In The Same Pattern, You Don't Have To Untangle It Alone.

Whether you're navigating conflict, disconnection, or a relationship you simply want to strengthen, the first step doesn't have to be a big one. Send a note when you're ready.
